Luke 23:43 ~ Is The Common Understanding Correct?

Here are my thoughts on Luke 23:43 ~  And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

The common understanding is that Jesus told the thief on the cross that he would be in Paradise THAT VERY DAY with Jesus ~ TODAY thou shalt be with Me in Paradise.

But that cannot be the correct understanding of the verse, because the Bible is clear, Jesus Himself did not go to Paradise that day….remember AFTER the resurrection when Jesus appeared to Mary, when she had come to the tomb, the Bible says, “Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father…  John 20:17.  Jesus told Mary, when she went to mourn for Him at the tomb, 3 days AFTER He had been crucified….that He had not yet been to Paradise and seen His Father.  Do you see the inconsistency with believing that Jesus and the thief went to Heaven when they died, when Jesus’ own personal testimony to Mary was that He had not?

Remember… the Bible is inspired….but when the Bible was written there was no punctuation…everything just ran together…..so when the translators translated the Bible, they put in the punctuation, where they thought it should go…but the translators were not inspired…so there are a few punctuation errors in the Bible.

If you just move this comma, ONE WORD to the right, it totally changes the understanding of this verse and makes this verse agree with ALL the other verses in the Bible on the subject of “what happens to you when you die”.  The way it should read is this: (I moved the comma one word to the right.)

“(New International Version)  Jesus answered him, “I tell you the truth today, you will be with me in paradise.”

(New King James Version)  And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you today, you will be with Me in Paradise.”

He didn’t mean that the thief was going right to Heaven when He died….Jesus was just telling the thief that in the end, at the Judgment, he would be saved and taken to Heaven to live forever.

People like to believe that when a person dies, they go right to Heaven….but that isn’t what the Bible teaches.  As Protestants, everything we believe should be based on the Word of God.

Heaven is for Real, by Todd Burpo

Heaven is for Real, by Todd Burpo
#1 New York Times BESTSELLER – OVER THREE MILLION COPIES IN PRINT

A good friend gave me a copy of this book to read, this past week.  I started it last night and finished it this morning.  I believe, without a doubt, spiritually speaking, it is one of the most dangerous books being sold on the market today.  The entire book is built on the false premise that when you die, you go to Heaven.

First I do want to say that I believe this little boy encountered a supernatural experience.  But, not all “supernatural” experiences are from God.  There are two “Supernatural Forces” in the world, God and Satan.  And the Bible is very clear – Satan will try to make people think he is from God

The Bible says,

“But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.”
2 Corinthians 11:14 (New Living Translation)

And he has a lot of power, he will perform miracles and will deceive many…

“For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great miraculous signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones.”
Matthew 24:24 (New Living Translation)

Points to Consider

1.  So…let’s get back to the book.  In a nutshell, the purpose of the book is to try to make people believe that Heaven is REAL, BECAUSE of this little boy, Colton -the story he tells of how he died and went to Heaven for three minutes while he was on the operating table.  (Chapter 14)  But, aside from comparing this information with the Bible, even comparing it with the facts stated in the book itself (pgs. 78, 79), the boy NEVER died.  He says, “Well, okay then, I died.  But just for a little bit.” (pg. 79), where as the Operative Report (pgs. 78, 79) show that he never died, even for one minute, let alone three.  I think that should be a red flag.

2.  OK, now let’s compare Colton’s story of what happened to him when he says he died, to what the Bible says happens to people when they die.  As Christians, what is our foundation?  The Bible, the Word of God, right?  So EVERYTHING we believe in regards to spiritual things, we should be able to prove from the Bible.  There are principles in the Bible that, as Christians who claim to believe in the Bible, we need to live by.  One really important one is this:  To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.  Isaiah 8:20 Webster  In other words, if someone is teaching something that does not line up with the Bible (the law and the testimony), then there is no light in them, they are filled with darkness.  Hmmm…makes me think of the verse we read earlier that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light but as Christians we KNOW there is NO LIGHT in Satan…he is filled with ONLY DARKNESS.  So…just because someone APPEARS to be full of light, doesn’t mean they REALLY are!  How will we know for sure?  By comparing what they say to what the Bible says.  If it matches up, that is great!  But if their testimony does not match the testimony of the Bible, then they are full of darkness.

Colton says that when he died for those three minutes on the operating table (remember, there is no clinical evidence that he ever died at all), that he went straight to Heaven and that he had conversations with Jesus and with his Grandpa.

The Bible says:

“The living at least know they will die, but the dead know nothing…”
Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10 (New Living Translation)

So, the Bible says, “the dead know nothing”. Colton says that he got to meet his Grandpa, his big sister (his mother had a miscarriage before Colton was born, supposedly he knew nothing about his mother losing the baby –  and he says he got to meet his big sister), and that his Grandpa told him many things.  Colton’s account does not match up with what the Bible says happens when a person dies.  Another red flag….

Colton says, “When I was with Jesus, you were praying, and Mommy was talking on the phone.” (pg. 17).    When he died, he says he was able to see his mother talking on the phone in the hospital and he heard his father praying in the little room at the hospital.  The Bible says there is no “knowledge” in the grave….that is not the experience Colton claims…he “knew” about many things.

3.  On page 18 in the book, Colton says, “I went up out of my body and I was looking down and I could see the doctor working on my body….”  Let’s compare his testimony with what the Bible says happens when a person dies.

“Brothers and sisters, we want you to know what happens to those who die. We don’t want you to be sad, as other people are. They don’t have any hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again. When he returns, many who believe in him will have died already. We believe that God will bring them back with Jesus. That agrees with what the Lord has said. When the Lord comes, many of us will still be alive. We tell you that we will certainly not go up before those who have died. The Lord himself will come down from heaven. We will hear a loud command. We will hear the voice of the leader of the angels. We will hear a blast from God’s trumpet. Many who believe in Christ will have died already. They will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them. We will be taken up in the clouds. We will meet the Lord in the air. And we will be with him forever. So cheer each other up with these words of comfort.”  1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.  (New Living Translation)

So, the Bible says that when Jesus comes back to this earth, to take His followers to Heaven, that He will resurrect those who are Christians who have died, and TOGETHER, ALL the Christians will rise up to meet the Lord in the air.  No Christians go to Heaven before that time.  Here, the Bible reiterates the sequence of events:

“But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first of the harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be raised when He comes back. After that the end will come, when He will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having destroyed every ruler and authority and power.”
1 Corinthians 15:23, 24 (New Living Translation)

DEATH is referred to as SLEEP in the Bible.

“After he had said this, he went on to tell them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up.” His disciples replied, “Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better.”  Jesus had been speaking of his death, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep.  So then he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead.” John 11:11-14 (New Living Translation)

So, what happens when a Christian dies?  He just goes to sleep….until Jesus comes and resurrects him at the end of the world.  Then, he will rise in the sky, ALONG WITH the Christians who didn’t die – those who are alive when Jesus comes, and TOGETHER they will all be taken to Heaven.  Christians do not go to Heaven when they die…Again, Colton’s testimony does not match up with the Word of God.

5.  Throughout the story, Colton seems to be a strong-willed, rather disobedient boy.  Racing ahead of his father one day as they were coming out of a store, his father hollered at him, afraid he would be run over in the traffic, and pointed to a rabbit lying dead on the street, he said to Colton:

“That’s a bunny who was trying to cross the street and didn’t make it,” I said. “That’s what can happen if you run out and a car doesn’t see you! You could not only get hurt; you could die!”

Colton looked up at me and grinned over his cone. “Oh, good!” he said. “That means I get to go back to heaven!” (pg. 99)

I don’t know what you think of that, but I think this is a good example of where this false belief that -when you die you go right to Heaven – takes people.  The terrorists all believe the same doctrine…that is why they are not afraid to blow themselves up, because they think they are going straight to Heaven.  Many people who commit suicide believe that, too.  They think that committing suicide will get them out of this world and into Heaven faster. When a friend’s mother died, her teenager son was so sad, he wanted to commit suicide, because he thought he would then go to Heaven and be with his grandmother.

As I said in the beginning, I do believe Colton had a supernatural experience….but I do not believe that it came from God.  All experiences from God will be confirmed by the truths taught in the Bible, God will never give us an experience that would contradict the truths He has already given us in His Word.

True, Honest Friends…

How many true, close, honest friends do you really have?

First, I think the we should decide ~ What makes someone a TRUE FRIEND?

My favorite author wrote, in 1890:

They show the truest friendship who reprove error and sin without partiality and without hypocrisy…Letter 12, 1890.

According to that definition, a true friend will tell you when you are doing something wrong, and they won’t “sugar-coat” it, because you are friends…and neither will they be pretend to be something they are not.

How many true, honest friends do you have?  Well, when it comes right down to it, most people could count on one hand how many they have.  Most people are so afraid of losing a friendship that they are afraid, when necessary, to confront their friend with the truth.

Two people can be very different in temperament, and yet be the truest of friends.  An example of Martin Luther and his best earthly friend, Melancthon, come to mind.

Luther was ardent and zealous, fearless and bold, in reproving sin and advocating the truth. He cared not for wicked men or devils; he knew that he had One with him mightier than they all. Luther possessed zeal, courage, and boldness, and at times was in danger of going to extremes. But God raised up Melancthon, who was just the opposite in character, to aid Luther in carrying on the work of reformation. Melancthon was timid, fearful, cautious, and possessed  great patience. He was greatly beloved of God. His knowledge of the Scriptures was great, and his judgment and wisdom excellent. His love for the cause of God was equal to Luther’s. The hearts of these men the Lord knit together; they were inseparable friends. Luther was a great help to Melancthon when in danger of being fearful and slow, and Melancthon in turn was a great help to Luther when in danger of moving too fast.
Melanchthon’s far-seeing caution often averted trouble which would have come upon the cause had the work been left alone to Luther; and ofttimes the work would not have been pushed forward had it been left to Melancthon alone. I was shown the wisdom of God in choosing these two men to carry on the work of reformation. {Story of Redemption, pgs. 349 & 350}

I don’t know about you, but I’d far rather have a friend tell me when I’m heading the wrong direction, and try to turn me around, whether it be in my thinking or in my doing….rather than go along with me, pretending to be my friend, all the while, knowing that I’m on the wrong road, heading the wrong direction and going to end up at the wrong place.  I hope that is the kind of friend you want, too!  If it is, then you will appreciate me, when I don’t tell you what you want to hear, you won’t be angry with me because I tell you the truth.

Jesus is coming soon…the end of the world is coming soon!  We can hardly comprehend the end of the world as we know it.  More than ever in the history of the world, we need to surround ourselves with true friends…those who want more than anything else in all the world, to be real Christians. Those who will tell us what we might not want to hear, even if they know it is going to make us angry at first….those who are willing to risk our friendship in order to try to save us from sin, in whatever form it may be.  The Bible text ~

Have I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth?  Galatians 4:16 NKJV

has never been more applicable than it is today.  People go from being close friends to strong enemies, because one friend is willing to tell the other friend the TRUTH, hard as it may be.

So, how many friends do you have who are willing to risk their friendship with you, by telling you the truth?  And more important, what kind of friend are you?  Are you willing to tell your friend the truth AND are you willing to listen to your friends when they tell you the truth, and not become angry? Something to think about….

What Nero Had in Common With Modern Day Tyrants

Last evening, we were reading about the life of Paul, and in the course of learning about Paul, we learned alot about the character of Nero the Great.  We couldn’t help but think of the modern-day tyrants as we read about Nero…the similarities are remarkable.

The setting is when Nero finds out that the game is over…his enemies are hot on his trail.

The wretched tyrant, as cowardly as he was cruel, was completely unmanned. He sprang from the table at which he had been feasting and drinking, overturning it in his blind terror, and dashing the most costly wares to fragments. Like one beside himself, he rushed hither and thither, beating his forehead, and crying, “I am lost! I am lost!” He had not, like the faithful Paul, a powerful, compassionate God to rely upon in his hour of peril. He knew that if taken prisoner he would be subjected to insult and torture, and he considered how he might end his miserable life with as little pain as possible. He called for poison, but when it was brought, he dared not take it; he called for a sword, but after examining its sharp edge, he laid it also aside. Then, disguised in woman’s clothing, he rushed from his palace, and fled through the dark, narrow streets to the Tiber; but as he looked into its murky depths, his courage again failed. One of the few companions who had followed him, suggested that he escape to a country-seat a few miles distant, where he might find safety. Concealing his face, he leaped upon a horse, and succeeded in making his escape.
While the emperor was thus ingloriously fleeing for his life, the Roman senate, emboldened by the insurrection and the approach of Galba, passed a decree declaring Nero to be the enemy of his country, and condemning him to death. The news of this decision being brought to Nero by one of his companions, the monarch inquired what manner of death he was to suffer, and was told that he was to be stripped naked, to be fastened by his head in the pillory, and to be scourged to death. The monster who had delighted to inflict upon Christians the most inhuman torture, shrank with horror at the mere thought of enduring like torture himself. He seized a dagger, and again endeavored to nerve himself to plunge it into his heart; but the prick of the instrument was all that he could endure. As he threw it aside with a groan of despair, horsemen were heard approaching. His retreat was discovered; a few moments, and he would be in the power of his enemies. Terrified alike at the thought of torture and suicide, he still hesitated, and was compelled at last to let a slave help his trembling hand force a dagger into his throat. Thus perished the tyrant Nero, at the early age of thirty-two.  {Sketches From the Life of Paul, pgs. 316, 317}

Does that not make you think of the cowardly reports we were told of Sadam and Osama Bin Laden?  Human nature hasn’t changed much….All of these men were very wealthy and they were dictators.  They all hated Christianity.  The world feared these men, but when all was said and done, they were nothing but cowards at heart.

Contrast their lives with those of the likes of Paul and Daniel and other men who had a tremendous positive influence on the world. Nero, Osama and Sadam had everything that money could buy….  On the other hand, Paul and Daniel were not wealthy men, the way the world measures wealth, but they had what money could not buy, they had a relationship with God and Jesus that caused them to have no fear of man and what man could do, because they had the fear of the Lord.

I thought it was something how these tyrants persecuted so many people, they were just barbaric, evil, cruel and Satanic…..yet they were cowards when it came their turn to die. What wasted, more than wasted lives they lived!  How much better the world would have been had they never been born!

Let us strive to be like Paul and Daniel, the true heros of the world, who were brave, honest and unselfish men.

History Is Being Re-written…

There has been alot of talk lately, about how history is being re-written….and it is true, it is happening before our eyes….but you know, this isn’t the first time that history has been re-written.  You know the old saying….”History repeats itself…”

Think back to Bible times…..In Exodus, God gave the 10 Commandments to Moses, and the 4th Commandment says,

“Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.  You have six days each week for your ordinary work,  but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the LORD your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your livestock, and any foreigners living among you.  For in six days the LORD made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day He rested. That is why the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.  Exodus 20:8-11 NLT

And then in the New Testament, Jesus and the Apostles continued to keep the 7th Day as the Sabbath.

And he (Jesus)came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.  Luke 4:16 KJV

As his custom was, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,  Acts 17:2 NIV

Many churches and Pastors teach that the Apostles started worshiping on Sunday after the resurrection of Jesus, but that is just not true.  That is HISTORY BEING RE-WRITTEN!  There is not one text in the Bible that says that God changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday.  In fact, the change did not occur until 313 AD!

Constantine and Licinius’  Edict of Milan (313) neither made paganism illegal nor made Christianity a state-sponsored religion. What it did was legalize Christianity, return confiscated Church property, and establish Sunday as a day of worship. http://orthodoxwiki.org/Constantine_the_Great

So you see, it was not God who changed the Sabbath from Saturday, the 7th day to Sunday the 1st day.  God never changed it at all…the Sabbath STILL is Saturday.  It was Constantine and the Roman Empire that made the change.

I know it makes you angry (and it should!) when you see our American history being changed…but shouldn’t it make you even more angry when you see religious history being changed? Many of you have grown up, being told that God changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday….but it simply is not the truth.  God had NOTHING to do with this change…this change is a direct fulfillment of Daniel 7:25.

He will defy the Most High and oppress the holy people of the Most High. He will try to change their sacred festivals and laws, and they will be placed under his control for a time, times, and half a time.  Daniel 7:25 NLT

So which history are you going to believe?  The REAL history, or the re-written history?

Saturday is still the Sabbath…always has been and always will be.

Is it really important which day you keep holy?  Yes, it is.  The Sabbath is one of the 10 Commandments, and the 10 Commandments are the ONLY thing in the Bible written by the finger of God.  It is the 4th Commandment, and it is the ONLY commandment that God said “Remember….” because He knew that it would be the commandment that most Christians would forget, so He told us ahead of time, to not forget it!  All the Christian churches remember the other 9 commandments, but the Sabbath, the 4th Commandment is the one they have forgotten, the one that God specifically told them to “Remember”!  So, if God says, “Remember” something, don’t you think it is important?

I’ll be praying for you, that you will have the courage to study this out for yourself and find the truth!  Don’t believe history that is re-written!

Christianity and Alcohol

Can Christians drink alcohol and still be true Christians?  I know alot of people who would say, “YES” to that question. But what is their answer based on?  Do they drink themselves and they want to be thought of as a Christian, but don’t want to give up their alcohol?  Do they have loved ones who drink who claim to be Christians, and they want to believe they really are Christians?  Have they been taught by their Priest or Pastor that Christians can drink and still be right with God?It could be other or any or all of the above reasons why people believe that it is OK for Christians to drink.  But what you and I think, really doesn’t matter.  What matters is what God thinks.  So what does God think?

In the following verse, God is talking to the Priests:

You and your descendants must never drink wine or any other alcoholic drink before going into the Tabernacle. If you do, you will die. This is a permanent law for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation.  Leviticus 10:9 NLT

Wow!  That is super clear, isn’t it?  How can different churches read this, and then serve their members alcohol when they have Communion?  If your church is serving you alcohol, you better take that verse to the Pastor and ask him to explain himself!

Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.  Proverbs 20:1 KJV

That verse says that if we think that wine and strong drink are good, we are deceived and not wise.

This verse is speaking of John the Baptist….

…for he will be great in the eyes of the Lord. He must never touch wine or other alcoholic drinks. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even before his birth.  Luke 1:15 NLT

Being “filled with the Holy Spirit” and never touching “wine or other alcoholic drinks” seem to go hand in hand.  Is that not the desire of all true Christians, to be filled with the Holy Spirit?

When Jesus turned the water into wine, some believe that the “wine” was alcohol, that Jesus miraculously created a whole bunch of alcohol for the wedding party. (See John, Chapter 2.) Back in those days, weddings lasted for a whole week.  Can you imagine what it would have been like, if that was really alcohol that Jesus made, and people were drinking for 7 days straight!?!?!    That just doesn’t fit with all we know about the life of Christ.  1st, we all know that alcohol kills brain cells….would Jesus really create something that was going to destroy a person’s brain?  2nd, alcohol causes people to sin.  Would Jesus really create something that would make it harder for people to be Christians?  3rd, when Jesus was dying on the cross, they offered Him vinegar with alcohol in it, for the pain….He wouldn’t even take alcohol when He was suffering!

I believe that the “wine” that Jesus created at the wedding feast was simply pure grape juice,

Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: …Isaiah 65:8 KJV

See, grape juice is called, “the new wine”, juice that is still in the cluster of grapes.  That is what Jesus created at the wedding feast. People could drink pure grape juice all week long, and it would be a great blessing for them, where as if they drank alcohol all week long it would have been a great curse for them.

On several accounts in the Bible, God reminded expecting mothers not to drink alcohol when they were pregnant.  Samson (See Judges, Chapter 13) and John the Baptists’s (See Luke, Chapter 1) mothers were both visited by an angel, instructing them what not to eat during their pregnancy.  If we look for it, there is instruction in the Bible for nearly everything!

Last week when I was demoing in Chicago, I met a young black boy, 21 years old, who has liver cancer….because his mother drank alcohol when she was carrying him.  He has two brothers who are mentally retarded, because she drank alcohol when she carried them. So sad….

When is the last time you heard a preacher preach that it is a sin to drink alcohol?  Human nature is no different today than it was back in Bible times.  The prophet Micah wrote:

If a liar and deceiver comes and says, “I will prophesy for you plenty of wine and beer,’ he would be just the prophet for this people!  Micah 2:11 NIV

Many people today don’t want to hear the truth.  They don’t want to hear that they must give up their sin in order to be saved.  They would rather have a preacher lie to them and tell them they can drink all the wine and beer they want, and still go to Heaven, than be told the truth.

Jesus is coming soon…Judgment Day is coming soon….don’t allow alcohol to keep you out of Heaven!  That is the devil’s goal, to cause as many people as he can to lose out on Heaven, and alcohol is one of his most successful means of doing that very thing!

If your Pastor, Priest or spiritual leader believes you can drink alcohol and be a Christian, I encourage you to find a different spiritual leader, one who teaches the truth according to the Bible.  Your eternal life depends on it.  May God bless you as you seek to pattern your life after the life of Christ.

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders  nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.  1 Corinthians 6:9, 10 NIV

The Devil’s Cesspool

When I was growing up, we never had a TV until the time I was about 13.  My parents believed in working hard and there was no time to watch TV.  But when I was 13, they decided to get a TV.  I remember feeling so sad…as if an invader was living in our home.  The little bit of of time that we did have to socialize in the family was now crowded out by the TV.  I hated it.  I remember going to my bedroom, crying….wishing they had never brought it home.  Thankfully, my parents realized it wasn’t a good influence and after a few months, they got rid of it. I was very happy….

When I was a teenager, I heard a Pastor preach a sermon, it is the ONLY sermon I can remember as a teenager…not sure why it really stuck with me all these years, but it did, and I think he was very correct.  He taught that, “The televisioin is nothing more than the Devil’s cesspool piped right into your home.” He said that 40 years ago!  What would he call it today???

I looked up the statistics online to see how many hours people watch TV…it was astounding to me!  Here it is….

–  4 hours per day for young children.
–  Slightly less for older children.
–  29 hours per week for an adult male.
–  34 hours per week for an adult female.

South Dakota Department of Health
http://www.state.sd.us/doh/Nutrition/TV.pdf

By the time a person is 65 years old, he will have spent 9 (that is NINE) years of his life, watching TV!

According to the A.C. Nielsen Co., the average American watches more than 4 hours of TV each day (or 28 hours/week, or 2 months of nonstop TV-watching per year). In a 65-year life, that person will have spent
9 years glued to the tube.?

Number of minutes per week that the average child watches television: 1,680

Hours per year the average American youth watches television: 1500

The Sourcebook of Teaching Science
http://www.csun.edu/~vceed002/health/docs/tv&health.html

Look at the stats for how many homes have TV and how many TV’s each home has!

Percentage of households that possess at least one television: 99
Number of TV sets in the average U.S. household: 2.24
Percentage of U.S. homes with three or more TV sets: 66
Number of hours per day that TV is on in an average U.S. home: 6 hours, 47 minutes
Percentage of Americans that regularly watch television while eating dinner: 66
Number of hours of TV watched annually by Americans: 250 billion
Percentage of Americans who pay for cable TV: 56
Number of videos rented daily in the U.S.: 6 million
Number of public library items checked out daily: 3 million
Percentage of Americans who say they watch too much TV: 49

So 99% of homes in America have TV and the average home has 2.24 sets, and the average person watches between 4 and 5 hours of TV a day.

I would like to know what the averages are for Christian homes? I would like to take a poll among my friends.  So please, if you consider yourself a Christian, please take the poll.

Will write more later!

The two products I’m demoing are Better Than Greens and Dandy Blend.  Both are super products! BOTH are GLUTEN-FREE.  The Better Than Greens is a whole foods green powder that you mix up with juice or put in a smoothie, once a day, and drink it.  It is so powerful! Energy is the first thing people say they notice, and then they say they don’t get sick as often, and if they do get sick, they get better much faster.  Tastes delicious, too!  It really does!  I mix it with Dole’s Pineapple Orange Juice when I demo in the stores and at home, Al makes it for us every morning (we have done this for over 10 years!) with half soymilk and half juice….so good….  It builds the immune-system and detoxes the body at the same time.  It cleans the liver (contains a whole 160 mg of Silymarin (Milk Thistle Extract) per serving and it is the ONLY green food on the market to contain Allicin, the active ingredient in Garlic that most of the studies are done on.  It contains 180 mg of Allicin – that is the equilavent to the Allicin you would get in 40 Cloves of Garlic per serving!!!  NO ONE eats 40 cloves of Garlic!  You don’t taste or smell the Garlic, but you get the benefits of 40 cloves of Garlic, nonetheless!  It is super for infections, bacteria, virsus, circulation and poor immune-systems.  The BTG’s is made from Organic Whole-Food Super Grains ~ Amaranth, Brown Rice, Millet and Flax Seed.  Hawaiian Spirulina is the 2nd ingredient, so you get the best of BOTH worlds, the GREENS and the GRAINS!  If you would like a sample, please feel free to call me – 888-332-6343 and I’ll gladly send you a sample and some written info, too.

The other product I demo is the Dandy Blend.  Dandy Blend is the greatest coffee substitute out there!  Tastes more like Coffee than Roma and Pero.  Many people tell me they can hardly believe it really isn’t coffee.  It is made from Dandelion Roots, Beet Roots and Chicory.  It is a Gluten-FREE product. And it is an instant….you can make one cup at a time or make it in your coffee maker and make 10 at a time.  Takes 1 tsp. of Dandy Blend to 8 oz. of water.

You know, coffee is really bad for you….it causes you to lose calcium out of your bones….it causes depression….it causes high blood pressure and many, many other health problems.

If I’ve peaked your interest and you would like to try a sample of the Better Than Greens  and/or the Dandy Blend,  please send me an email with your name and address and I’ll send it out to you, along with our 64 page catalog.

Winter is coming!  You can drink lots of hot Dandy Blend on those cold days and not feel a bit guilty!  And if you take the Better Than Greens, you raise your chances of not getting sick when everyone else does!

I hope to hear from you!
Have a healthy day!
